Coming Home to Hope on the Fertility Journey
Hope can be a tricky thing when we are on the TTC journey.
We’re always searching for answers. Googling, going to doctors, getting second opinions, looking for anyone who might be able to tell us the secret solution. All of these are ways for us to stick our toes in the pond of hope, but it is really not us taking the full canon ball leap into hope.
Hope is scary...there is a fear of it letting us down, of being an illusion, or something that is unrealistic for us.
But here’s the thing, hope is the magic ingredient. It is what helps motivate us, it is what will keep us looking, and it is what will keep us connected to the little baby we are calling in.
Hope is what gives us the strength and the courage to believe in our body and to make our dreams become reality.
I can share this because I was there 10 years ago. I was feeling broken, disempowered, and unsure how to move forward. But here’s the thing, I had something nudging me in the depths of my being (that I now realize was my womb energy) that kept me curious and wouldn’t let me accept no as an answer.
In fact, I often share the story of how I was so convinced that I was pregnant one month that I did test after test even though they all kept saying negative (seriously, it was probably over 10 tests that I did throughout that cycle). And you know what, the very next month I became pregnant. Something in me just knew that it was coming.
Here is the thing with hope:
We don’t need to know how and when, we just need to believe that it is possible
We need to find a way to move from disempowered (also known as broken) to empowered (showing up in a way that nourishes our womb with love)
We need to know that science tells us one story about our body, but like any story we can always make choices to rewrite it.
Most importantly the past and the future are just stories, stay grounded in the present, because what is in the now is your truth
I went from 3 ectopic pregnancies, loss of one fallopian tube and a damaged remaining one, to conceiving 3 babies naturally and healing my tube to a point that there was no visible damage anymore.
The mind is powerful and how we show up for ourselves can make all the difference in how we feel and how our body responds on this journey. Remind yourself every morning when you wake up that today you choose to believe in hope.
I support women to radically defy the stories they’ve been telling their body in order to find healing on their conception journey. If you are looking for more support on your journey, check out the FERTILE Coaching Program and get you name on the waitlist for the next session.
